Blackwater Tour - Sunday May 20, 2007 46 and 63 mile options Our personal favorite!! Join Atlantic Cycling in Cambridge, Maryland, as we cycle through the remote tributaries and swamps of the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge, established in 1933 as a refuge for migratory birds. We then head out on to Hoopers Island, all the way to the end of it, where you will be met with a breathtaking panaramic view of the Chesapeake Bay and the local fishermen and crabbers. The course is flat, flat, flat and may we say again, flat!! Lots of local places to grab some seafood after the ride!We promise, this is certainly not one to be missed!! Registration Opens at 8:00 A.M. and closes promptly at 9:00 A.M. Please plan on arriving early - the official tour start will be 9:00.
